Horse-Back in the old days, everyone fought the same-Jiu Jitsu. If you didn't do Jiu Jitsu back then, you were toast in a matter of seconds. Now it seems more well rounded because if you don't know alot of EVERYTHING then you're going to get your ass knocked out or submitted. Chuck Liddell was a championship wrestler in college, but never takes the fight to the ground. BUT, if it does go there, he is relatively well versed.HorseFilms said:I prefer the old days of the UFC. Back when it was actual martial arts styles against one another. Now it's just too homogenized for me. Everyone fights pretty much the same style (wrestling with a punch or two thrown in) and they're all from Iowa.![]()
Or a very similar one...mcgeedigital said:At least it'll be a better fight than the upcoming Shamrock/Ortiz debacle.
Alex DePew said:MY vote is for Matt. Hoyce is awesome still but he has been out of the UFC for so long.
mcgeedigital said:Hoyce will OWN Matt.

HorseFilms said:It's spelled "Royce", but pronouned Hoyce.
Terry_Lasater said:Everyone at Century Martial Arts called him Royce during our video shoot.
Quit typing HOYCE!!!! That is not his name. All the R's are pronounced as an H.Alex DePew said:I just heard a radio advertising saying Hoyce Gracie. And a friend told me that in Portugese the R sounds like an H. This info is not from someone who speaks Portugese though.
And I am thinking about getting it but I am going nuts editing and trying to learn some after effects to see if I can get a couple special effects shots added in. I may not be able to learn how to use after effects and then be able to succesfully accomplish the look I am going for. But I am going to bust my arse trying!
And I agree that they are both class acts. The only thing I see is that Hoyce has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Anyone know the Vegas odds?
HorseFilms said:I won't really pay attention to this stuff until they start drug testing these guys. I know a guy who trained at the Lion's Den for about 6 months and he said that every one of the guys was juicing. If you weren't, you might as well go home. He did. That's the biggest problem I have with the sport. Just look at how the guys look and act and you can't deny that they're on the 'roids.
