Analog component from HVX to Marshall SD-SDI...?

I was always happy my partner had the Marshall 7".
I worked with it and liked it.
He told me it had the new high-res display.
I knew it had SDI-in - I didn´t know it was SD-SDI...
Ok, so is there a way to benefit from the high-res display when using with the HVX via SD-SDI...?
Like an adapter?
To sum it up: will this baby be of any worth for HVX HD focus control?

The only way to go from component to SDI is with a converter box like the AJA HD10A which is rather pricey.

Anyone know if focusing still could be improved when using the marshall via s-video compared to just using the HVX lcd/viewfinder...?

The HVX with Focus Assist will be far more accurate than using an external monitor through s-video.

Would you say an external HD monitor is essential for critical focus conditions, like low key/ open iris situations...?
Can´t afford the component marshall, but was thinking about the sony 17" if I can get a hold of it...
