Can anybody help with DVD Studio Pro. I've asked and asked but nobody likes me!

Can somebody please read my other two posts regarding getting a Dvd to look good both on the T.V. and on my Imac. The finished DVD has 24 frames per second but when I play it on my Imac it flickers/pulses. Why? On T.V. it's smooth as glass, sharp as razor.

Somebody must know.

Thanks.

How do other 24 fps DVD's hold up on your iMac? What are it's specs? There are a lot of reasons why this might be happening, but it's really an apple support question, not a video question since the DVD plays well on a TV.

Cheers,
Alden

Thanks. The other DVD's I've tried on the computer seem to not have that problem but I must admit I haven't played a lot of them and I haven't done a frame count on them.

hehe -- I'm SURE it's not that nobody likes you...

I have a hard time trying to picture exactly what you are talking about. I've never had a problem with DVDs playing in my computer. But then again, I'm not sure what a flicker/pulse looks like either.

Try watching it at normal size and not full screen on the computer monitor. Remember, your DVD is only 720x480 (or there abouts). I'll bet your monitor is set for something near a two thirds bigger. Lot of pushing to get it that big.

With 24p you often get a not so smooth looking film -- especially if it's fast moving.

Take it to someone else's computer and see if it does the same thing.
