Applying effects to an entire track in Premiere 2.0

I use Vegas 6 and Final Cut Pro, so Premiere is new to me. My brother just picked up an educational version from his college bookstore and we were playing around with it the other day. I couldn't figure out how to apply an effect to an entire track, just individual clips in a track. I have no problems doing this in the previously mentioned programs... just wondering if it's possible in premiere. Thanks.

There's a couple of ways, you can create a new sequence place your original sequence in the new and apply the effect globally.

Or

You can copy the effect from a clip highlight all the clips you would like to apply the effect to, right-click and paste attributes. Gets applied to all that were highlighted.
