Brilliant stuff, Terry!

For some reason, Hu Yu Hai Ding & Wao So Dim especially really ****ing floor me. I'm still laughing my balls off...great find!!

Hey where'd it go? That was Fa Kin Su Pah!

Hey where'd it go? That was Fa Kin Su Pah!

I noticed that thread got deleted....Hope it wasn't because of me :)

I'm not really Chinese and wasn't offended and was about to say so....I thought the thread was hilarious and was merely making a joke.

Just wanted to clear that up in case it was deleted because of my spuriously p.c. post ;)

Finally, something interesting happens on the board today.

Do you guys realize that I was forced to study for finals because nobody was posting all day?

It has been rather slow....One could almost say:

Sum Ting Wong!

But look at the bright side TC, you didn't even have to ask for a banning. And now your grades will reflect the intense studying, all because of your boredom induced reprieve from dvcrackuser.com. Whew!

I'm 'offended' to be branded as 'offensive'.

It wasn't making fun of a race of people. Rather, it was a lighthearted look at how English speaking peeps find humor in certain words from other languages. I'm sure non-English speaking countries find humor in some English words. Why, it is the very basis of numerous jokes in movies (like Kung Pow!: Enter the Fist). Would you consider that offensive... wait... let me re-phrase that question... :) Is the very basis of the movie offensive? What about the Chinese dudes wearing Yao Ming jersies lip-syncing to... whoever that was... was that offensive? Why did people find that funny? Is my deleted post really any different?

That post wasn't anything more than an attempt to share a laugh and, in comparison to some posts, it seemed inane enough.

ha ha ha ok i will bring it back.. i thought it was funny as well, but its kinda on that fine line and when i saw the offended remark it looked like trouble. so all is well.

Thanks, Jarred.

I apologize if the post offends anyone. It's just a light-hearted look at difference of languages. Someone sent it to me in an e-mail and I thought it was funny.

Hey Terry I don't think you have to defend yourself. There are lilts and patterns inherent in every language and dialect and it is only natural for non-native speakers to find humor in that - and no it is not offensive. We poke fun at New Yawkers, Minnesotans (you betcha) and all y'all Texans, so it stands to reason we'll poke fun at everyone - incl. the Chinese.

I hope I didn't get you in trouble :)
