After years of use of my school's PD150 and friends' DVX's, it is finally time for me to get my very own DVX. I'm so excited!!! I've worked hard to save up, and I'm finally taking the plunge.

I had enough to buy it, but then my dad said he'd go halves on the camera as sort of an early gradution present/career helper (my dad is awesome), so I'm like, sweet!!! More money for tapes!!!

I have to wait til Monday to put in my order at EVS, and it's killing me...

...but that didn't stop me from ordering 2 chamois eyepads and 2 DVXuser batteries already :) (why I'm still up at 1:30)

That's brilliant. It's awesome when parents see their childrens passion for this avenue and help with the financial burden.

Congrats!

He probably saw that you had enough commitment to it that you did what you had to do to save up for up. Bravo!

You're next couple of days are bound to be very anxiety filled waiting for the camera. Good luck and happy shooting.

Congrats, ecarr!:)

Make sure you buy from a reputable dealer!

Here's a pic of my dealer. :)

The guy in the pic is selling soap.

Yeah, I'm glad he's getting one. He was always borrowing mine or else looking for a used GL1. He's finally seen the light. Now he just won't stop asking me about what tripod he should get! Congrats man! I think I should get borrowing rights for yours for the next 5 months...just kidding!

Thanks guys. I bought from EVS, from a guy named Casey, and he was really cool.

Finally decided on a tripod, too, lol.

Also got schneider UV and Polarizer, 20 MQ tapes, and 4 year warranty.

My mom kinda freaked when she found out how much i actually ended up spending ($4500)

Oh yea, and PDX, any time you need it its yours. You've helped me out more than enough...
