human nature is b-movie? aw :( charlie kaufman is my favorite! and so is gondry! i love that movie.

last dvd i picked up was Ace In The Hole by Billy Wilder. oh my god. get it if you can find it. its not being printed on dvd or vhs but it is amazing. when it didn't make money at the box, the studio changed the name to The Big Carnival. but it still didn't make money. poor billy. best last shot in a movie ever. i had been looking for months and all i could find was this bootleg dvd with portuguese subtitles on ebay. but its worth it.

love welles but thought arcadin was a little over-theatrical. the acting, but especially welles' makeup. come on, man. but as usual, there are tons of brilliant shots. and cuts. and lack of cuts. wadaguy.

Different flick. The Human Nature I picked up is a zero budget B Horror from a group of local filmmakers.

Here's a review of it off imdb:

"wow...this movie was just awful. i'm a big fan of low budget/sort of "indie" films and student films and i have given many of them a shot. i have to say i've seen some that were just great and told good stories with memorable characters. i have to say this rates up there with some of the worst i've seen. the list of things completely wrong with this film probably stretches on forever. the sound quality was awful...i could barely hear them! characters weren't developed really well and it wasn't scary at all...not what i expected! i love horror movies and the cover of this DVD was definitely misleading. i was also hooked by the fact that it was based on a "true" story...but who wouldn't be if you adore horror flicks like i do? my advice...don't spend the dough to rent it!"

I can't wait to watch it!!

There's no way I'd call any of Gondry's work B movie material!

haven't bought much in a while cause there's no cash-flow :(

but last one was sin city (extended recut)

No i havent found it yet.

Amazon isnt selling it directly just through a bunch of third party resellers. And most of the copies advertised are used and i'm not gonna pay the full price for a used dvd.

So the search continues.

wow that sucks. call up your best buy and ask them to order some and if they say no say that your dad is the owner of the company and he's going to fire them if they dont do it ;)
