Can Anything Be Done With overly Tight Compositions That Suffer From T.V. Cropping?

Just wondering if there is anything I can do to help correct for an oversight on my part. I didn't account for T.V. safe when framing and so some of my interview footage looks pretty cramped when cropped by the T.V. Is there anything I can do wth cropping programs or pan and scan programs that would enable me to get the original framing on Television. Do all Televisions crop the same? Is there cropping when projecting video also?

An aside, is there a special setting in Dvd Studio Pro to get to burn progressive or is that already done when Compressor Encodes It?

Turn on View -> Shwo Overlay.
View -> Show Title Safe
Go to the clip in the timeline, click on motion tab. Adjust scale to fit action (outside line) safe.
