Hello. I am an ind filmdirector and cameraman..and soundman.
I ve finished feature using pd-150 Sony (mini)dv cam camera with
Camera mounted Sennheiser ME 65 or ME 66 and stereo capture for post
With audio technica AT 825. that was ok but I still think mics could do better.
Now I have a JVC GY-HD100 and I want to upgrade the mics too.
Why not a pair of Neumann km184.
I d have the mono sound with one mounted by default..and then would capture stereo when needed with the second one added…but they would need maybe to be too close from the subject as they are cardioid…
I am interested also by the CS-1 from Sanken which is presented as shotgun but is more an hypercardio..
But then I doubdt 2 cardio would record a good stereo..and I d have to buy a extra stereo mic..and which one? Has anyone heard of the CUW 180 stereo from Sanken?
Help I am lost with so many options…
I need to shoot actors talking in houses or outside from close or far(not too far though)…atmospheres…musicians…no lavaliere and no boom…thanks for your help.X
