Hvx + Tripod + Kessler Crane

Hi.

Now that I have HVX, I need good tripod for it also. But my problem is that I'm planning to buy Kessler Crane KC 12 (www.kesslercrane.com) also in the near future and don't know which tripod would be good for this kind of setup? I think it must be some rock solid one...

Does anyone have HVX + TRIPOD + KESSLER CRANE KC12 setup here? What tripod you are using?

Thank you. :dankk2:
, Pete.

I know KesllerCranes very well, and anything with a 100mm bowl will be fine. make sure you dont have the single leg tripods (sorry dont know what they are called) However, I would say that http://www.nuangle.com has the sturdiest crande tripods. But I dont know if they come with a bowl or not... might want talk with them. It might be a preparatory tripod for there crane.

Thanks, for the link, SurJones! That link looks great! I will definately keep this on my mind, they seem to have also cranes...and car mounts...hmmmm...:)

yeah, was going to help them with their web-design and also kesslers as well, just too busy... I have their CarMount, and it is the best you'll find. Stickypod has nothing on these guys.

good looking stuff on www.nuangle.com but hey whats with the prices? theres not much info on the site, no video clips...

i agree with SurJones about the webdesign & i dont know why most of websites offering video equipment for indies suffer this same problem no decent design, no decent pictures & no decent video clips i mean look at this http://www.b-hague.co.uk/camera supports systems.htm looks like some primary school kid put it togather for them... :kali: & they just took the pics on a mobile phone camera or something? so not professional :(

may be we could design these guys a better website & get some cool equip we need.

Hey, Razamalik...you can find the prices when you go to Products...and scroll down...there are prices...

Gday, does anyone know what is the biggest crane you could put on the Cartoni f100 Head and Miller Solo VJ Tripod Combo? Im thinking about getting the KC12/8 Kessler Crane. Also has anyone had any experience with this crane or any other in their line?
Thanks

from what i understand the legs and the head have a weight rating. The head should be like 6-18 and the tripod legs are like 30-80. Not saying that is for your camera, but you can see the pic I am painting. Also I would not put the crane on the head. I would use a crane bowl, Kessler sells one

Thanks im trying to look up the specs now. Why wouldnt you recommend putting it on the head? This is of corse if the crane and weights and HVX come in under the maximum rated amount of 22lbs for the Focus, whatever that is in Kgs :S

Ok just found out the tripods maximum weight and its 25lbs so looks like 22lbs max.

don't use your fluidhead

don't use your fluidhead

for a crane, ever, unless you have a huge industrial head.

looks like the kessler people make a fluid base for the crane, it's $200...

so figure $500 for a crand and $200 for the fluidhead, get some 100lb sticks with a 100mm bowl and you'll be fine..

I still haven't seen a crane system I think is perfect, theirs is pretty good.

I used the microdolly system, it was good but much much too expensive for what you get.

Anybody have any thoughts on Kessler Cranes? They seem pretty great, fair in their pricing and upgradable. How about their Crane Tripod? Can I use that with a head for my HVX when I don't use the crane?
