Confession of a Single Man

Well lets cut the guy some slack...after all 3:30am is a crappy time of the day to make sense of stupid flaming posts. After all OJ is innocent. Duh! Wrong thread.

I guess I forgot that me cooking something wasn't latest news...Oh wait, I did post it in the right section.

My girlfriend can cook her a55 off. She comes up with the most creative dishes and they all taste really freaking good. I can cook a little but I hate leaning over a counter or sink because it kills my lower back.

Me, I only cook on weekends. during the week, it's microwave. Except for tonight, courtesy of the missus.

This is what I'm having tonight for dinner:

But...my wife makes it by pickling the cabbage first. It sat in a brine-filled container for about a month. Non-shredded Sauerkraut. :)

And the rest of us have images in our brains of Aram with images of PK stuck in his brain who, coincidentally, has images of Aram bent over a counter stuck in his brain. :)

For a while, I thought we would all be trading recipes for "Roast Tyler".

Instead, we get images of Aram. Oh, well.

Those stuffed cabages look great. Reminds me of my childhood.

Oh, and congrats Jeremy on cooking.

You pretty much have to have chicken covered to get it to cook without getting dry. Sauteeing it in wine works, too.

Marinate the chicken overnight in a mixture of soy sauce and Italian dressing...then toss on the BBQ for about 15 - 20 minutes. AWESOME!!!

By the way, serrated knives are great for slicing bread without crushing the loaf.

I enjoy cooking many different dishes, but my speciality is desserts....I love making tarts, cheesecakes, and working with chocolate. We once had a "dessert night" at our house and I made chocolate bowls (yes the serving bowls were made of chocolate so when you finished the contents you ate the bowl) which I filled with rich french chocolate mousse topped with a wonderful raspberry sauce. My sweet tooth is starting to ache just thinking about it!

I'm also a great chef and highly skilled with the knife. I prefer the Santoku style knives though.
