Got a PA gig, now clapper, then stand in?

So, I went a meeting for the first major indie project that I have gotten a PA position on, and I quickly went from PA, to clapper, to stand-in. Does anyone have any advice to give me for the clapper and stand in jobs? They'll be shooting on SDX900, and although its not a huge budget film, it's a very well put together production, and I don't want to make an ass of myself. I have clapped before on other things, but they made this one sound so much more intense. I'm not sure if they have a timecode slate or not....
 
Sorry, can't help with the clapper question, but stick around and you might be the lead actor by the end of the shoot!
