in need of an idea for something to film...

my main area of filming is freestyle skiing and its now summer soo i cant really film that... i was planning on filming some mountainbiking this summer but i am not supposta do any sports for a few months due to a skiing injury soo i need some ideas of a short to film for the summer.. anyones suggestions would be much appreciated :)
 
Try the screenplay forum, good writers there that may have an idea or two...The newspaper is also another place to get ideas...
 
lmao thats a good idea actually but my friend from maine is already doing that :( and its pretty much like 5 things... 1 ski around on pavement... 2 jump on a trampoline on skis.. 3 sleep. 4 set up a rail you can step onto from a cooler or something on your skis... and 5 spraypaint your skis .. my friend im gunna be working with wants to do a documentary on old buildings but i dont know how to go about it.
 
You probably know some skiers. If you ask their manager @ McDonalds he might let you follow them around for the day. Just kidding.
 
lol that would be interesting... a movie on working at mcdonalds, kinda like that movie on what happens when if you eat mcdonalds but reversed? NOT
 
Or try this. A film on the struggle to get Freestyle recognized as a real sport and placed in the olympics. I assume you already have some killer b-roll.
 
i did... up until someone dropped my ext hd with all of this seasons footage on it. all i have is the first round from a rail jam in march :( soo skiing is completly out until next season
 
well my friend came up with the idea of this " have the movie being about the making of a tv show like mtv fear where they send 6 kids or so into an anbandon place and they have to explore it but then something goes seriously wrong and they are trapped in side or w/e... still gotta add on

Failed HD's......dropped HD's.......a lesson should be learned from these disasters and that lesson is......don't tape over your tapes......store them in a safe place.

YEPP!!! up until i orderd my new camera i had 2 dv tapes to my name haha and i would film all the way to the end on one, rwind it, use the 2nd then do the same haha

How about we all take our DVX100s to Wal-Mart on Sunday at 12 noon est time and film 5 mins, then post it. Kind of a "A day in the life" thing.

heres what i got so far... group of friends are going to aparty tonight... nick (main character) decides to call his "hookup" JT for some stuff.. jt tells him to meet him at an old abandon building.. he shows up with his girlfriend, friend, and another female friend of theirs and they go inside to meet the dealer but as they go in they get lost or something and they get trapped, they then try to find ways out but while they each venture off to find a way out something random happens to kill them( still gotta think of this without any special effects basically) then a day or so later one person (nick) makes it out alive to find police and fire were just about to start looking for them....
 
our options right now are this but ellaborate on it... or make a documentary on the history of an abandon building (insane asylum or hospital or something)
