NYPD now detaining filmmakers/photographers

hey guys (and gals) watch out -- NYPD is cracking down. read on. nothing's changed, it's still legal to photograph just about anything in the country -- but be careful else you'll get detained. not fun, but not the end of the world.

be cool, smile, be polite, show your script (if you have one) business cards, all that stuff really helps get them off your back. but some officers are just more strict than others.

recently I went into the Port Authority HQ to get permission to film at LaGuardia. They took my biz card and gave me blanket permission (sans security stations).

Yup .Sorry to say this guys but you don't see this in Canada. But if you did and the cop broke your arm at lest are health care is free. LOL
