Autotrace in AFX 7 Help needed ASAP

I'm finishing a film shot on super16mm which has a lot of green screen work, because of how poorly lit the screen is I have needed to go through and Autotrace certain areas so that I can work with a mask and isolate the parts in the foreground that are keying out or just keying badly. This works fine except for the fact that After Effects seems to create a heap of keyframes that move around (i.e: they move around the roto path like they are in a freakin race) This is causing the edges of the mask to boil and warp as the roto points move around. Any suggestions? I've tried shrinking the mask through a simple choker and blurring it with a gaussian blur but I still get the same problem.
I am using Keylight to pull the keys, and the footage is Uncompressed 8 bit.

Cheers

I've yet to use the auto trace function, but will on my next batch of GS work. I came across a nice tutorial from creative cow - the tutorial is "Creating Super Tight junk Mattes":

http://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_page_wrapper.cgi?forumid=<FORUMID>&page=http://www.creativecow.net/articles/rabinowitz_aharon/junk_mattes/index.html

I use Keylight quite a bit; but the auto trace function will be a new path for me...I hope this helps.

Had a look at that tutorial, thats just for creating junk mattes and dosn't really address the issue of the autotrace boiling around the edges. Maybe its just a bug in the autotrace plugin.:furious3:

Just do your garbage matte by hand. Most "auto" anything features don't work very well in the realm of visual effects. Do it by hand and you should be fine.
