Ipod Lapel mic for weddings.......?

i apologize im not sure if this belonged in the audio section or this section but because it was FCP an ipod is appple i posted here. I just found this DLO VoiceNote Voice Recorder and Microphone as im sure a lot of you already know about it. However i was wondering what people though in terms of using an ipod and that as like a lapel mic for wedding or things like that and then later just dragging and dropping in the audio and synching the thee sound and video. as i have an ipod but not a wireless mic i was trying to kill 2 birds with one expesnive stone lol

I am sure it could work, but i would certainly not recommend it for a few reasons...

no time code
the audio quality would be horrible (i have used one of those to try and record a lecture, it sounded like i had charlie browns teacher)
Syncing would be a challenge unto its own.
