$24.00 Fisherman Follow Focus

This is too cool! Just GREAT! Ahh.....another must have to add more weight to my poor 503. I'm convinced now that I need a new tripod head because I'm just going to have to make this.

sweet. great idea. those damn follow focuses are sooooo expensive.

maybe if you left the reel as is, you could make a fishing pole-cam. you could have the lens focus on the fish as you're reeling it in. this will revolutionize the televised fishing industry.:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

I'm going to take the parts out of it in a few months and put them into a metal box to give it a much nicer look. I'm hoping to make a nice follow focus system under $150.00, for my adapters.
 
good idea. people will buy them no doubt. i may try to build one of these. i have the same basic adapter as you.
 
"What about us guys that don't have a ifocus adapter?"

It would be really easy to throw a little rubber wheel on it, for the MF.


The only problem I had with the focusing system is that my lens is still very new like and it was giving me a little resistance. I've work the lens for a good hour and tomorrow I will get some footage. So be ready!!
