Who here uses the original DVX100 (no A orB)?

I have one and i love it, personally i dont really see what i am missing besides a nicer focus ring and a few other things. It does the job just fine and it seems that you actually lose some features with the 100b.

Right now i'm trying to decide between the 100a or the 100, is the 100a worth the money? I can't find any articles comparing the two.

i have a 100 and love it (who couldn't) but i've never worked with an A or B so I've never gotten to play around with the cineswitch technology. the only thing I wish I had on mine was the focus/iris input jack thats on the B

boy afraid...

i think i'm missing something in your post, but the original does have the cineswitch technology. as for differences i think the focus ring doesn't turn infinitley anymore, there's in camera anamorphic "squeeze", you can have gain in 24p...there's other stuff, but that's off the top of my head.

i have the original ordered it 4 months after it's october 2002 release and quite pleased with it. my next purchase won't be a dvx though i'll be going for the hvx.

ive shot tons of 100 and 100a stuff and they really are very close. The bigger change is from the 100a to 100b.

I use a 100, and am very happy with it! The one thing I miss is the slower servo zoom and higher-resistance manual zoom on never a problem or glitch since 2003, and toms of beautiful footage!

Every DVX project I've shot has been on an original, usually with 16x9 adapter attached. Lovely piece of equipment. We don't need no stinkin' A's or B's! We've got the original NASA chip!
