Sorry, that wasn't directed at you, briceman, just at the instinct to make a movie like this. It's the same problem with singling out the story of a survivor to represent the Holocaust.

I actually liked Michael Moores movie, all he did was gather up facts and put it onto screen with evidence.

What does united 93 do? if someone from that plane survived and told the filmmaker the story, I'd understand, and Id not only pay to see the movie, I'd buy it, but the fact that NO ONE that is alive knows what happened on that plane bothers me when they make a movie trying to explain what happened on it. Sure, they made phone calls, what does that prove? that a plane was hijacked, something we all know, and thats all we know, nothing more.

The films script was taken from transcripts and phone calls from that day. It is as accurate as 13 Days (Film dealing with the Cuban missile crisis).

Brice I heard the last part of the movie is really intense.

I'm not really sure why people don't thing this movie should be made. I think it's almost some people's political views. For the last few years we have heard nothing but hate Bush, hate Cheney, the war is for oil, we made the terrorist mad and now a movie comes out that makes the terrorist look bad. I would like to see a good movie made about the World Trade Towers. Maybe one about kicking the Taliban out of Afganistan. Yes and even one about Iraq.

No offense taken, but why not do a story like this to represent it? It's the event seen through the eyes of a protaganist character.

whether this movie should have been made or not is kind of irrelevant. the point i'm trying to make is that america (as a whole) clearly has shown that they aren't ready for this movie. You're talking about a subject matter that all 250 million people in the United States know about (more than Harry Potter. More than Star Wars) and you only make 12 million opening weekend?? that says a lot. Quality of the movie aside, whether it was a riveting account of what happened aside, whether it is the greatest movie ever aside, people simply weren't ready.
