You guys are awesome! I've been hooked on this site for several months, just became a member.

I recently ordered the SGPro, and would like to get a production monitor for a project this summer--one with good resolution, blue check, vertical/horizontal flip & switchable 16:9/4:3. Trying to stay under $600.

Any suggestions?

BUMP, i would like to know this as well!

Very good point. A simple flip would solve the problem. Thanks FilmMakerr.

:) it should work well, I wanted to do the same thing, I bid on a monitor off ebay for 60, lost it to 61, but it was 7 inches, 16x9, 4:3, collor, and all I have to do is plug it in, and turn it around.

FYI....talking about his flip issues.....before buying the DVRack software today, I talked to one of their engineers who assured me that a free software patch allowing their on-laptop-screen 'field monitor' to flip the image would be available sometime next week. I pondered it a moment...then said..."Ok...so you swear to me this will be done...?" We had a good laugh...I bought the software...at the nice academic price of only $229. (perks of being in education I suppose.)

I second the DVRack option. You get an amazing set of production tools as well as the new X/Y filp mode for monitoring adapter footage. With the added ability to record direct to disc, DVRack can't be beat for the price.
