Best place to buy a dvx100b for cheap

Does anyone know what the best place (authorized or not, and yes I saw the list of authorized dealers) to buy a dvx100b for under $3300 is? (before rebate) My parents (they are loaning me some cash so I have to listen to them) won't buy from EVS or any of the authorized dealers because they are too expensive or out of stock (Willoughbys). Also they have to have better reviews than buydig.com (8/10) because my dad says that buydig.com seems unreliable from their reviews. Does a store with these requirements exist?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You probably don't want to hear this, but I would only buy from an authorized dealer. If you find one that is cheaper, there is a most likely a reason (bad reason) that it is being sold for less. I would mow some lawns or something and work on some story ideas while you raise the rest of the $. Just a suggestion.

And remember, not authorized = no rebate, and right now, that's worth $400.
Actually the rebate center said several rebates from people that purchased from newegg went through.

Are you able to confirm this information. because J5, I, and other have purchased camera's from newegg.

If the camera was originally sourced through an authorized dealer, then the rebate will go through.

So the question is: did Newegg (not an authorized dealer) buy their units from an authorized dealer? Or through gray-market import?

If they bought them from an authorized dealer, then the rebate will go through.

If they bought them from a gray-market importer, then no rebate (and no warranty and no DVX Book/DVD and no Magic Bullet Editors software) will apply.

i got mine the 100b from abes of maine, non-authorized. My dad and i fought constantly with them, they tried selling us overpriced batteries, adapters, their souls. And ground shipping was like a rediculous 65$. They took ages to send it, so we harrassed them and they apologized and sent it 2 day air, and it got here in 2 days. Brand new in the package, everything runs and looks great.

Final Price: $2700, and thats after rebate, keep in mind though i dont get the panasonic warranty, just a 1 year warranty from another company.

Bottomline: i got a great deal, but i think im pretty lucky. Im sure those people get away with a lot of scamming.
