Bring your child to work day on Thursday, April 27

This Thursday April, 27 is the national bring your child to work day: http://www.daughtersandsonstowork.org/

My company is participating and I will be bringing my 8 year old daughter to the office with me. I manage the IT Department for a commercial real estate firm.

I am trying to put together a list of things for her do to keep her busy and interested. :)

Any suggestions?

Chris

Screw that.

Show her how to call in sick and take her somewhere fun.

I probably should. :)

Instead, I feel like a "Borg" bringing her into the corporate collective, "Resistance is futile."

Work sucks

I own my company and it still is lame.

Some people enjoy work; which I find weird. So many things to do in life than friggin work

I did commercial real estate for a large (large, large) corporation for years. Dogged that last year and couldn't be happier about it.

Yeah, I'm doing accouting support for finance software, and it gets old quick. Me and my cubicle are with each other 40 hours a week, 40 hours too long. I've found since I've gotten this job I've enjoyed being outdoors so much more.

What I did the last few times was to set up a bunch of movies on the plasma screen and let them have popcorn and soda all day. Like an 8 hour film fest. I think we get about 6 kids in here. Last year we didnt do anything but this year I think ill get them a stripper.

HAHAHAHA. That's hilarious. My dad never took me to his work. Probly for the best though. I like Hudsons suggestion about calling in sick....

I like John's suggestion too. That's what I would do if I could bring my little girl, she's only 6. I think kids have to be 8 or 9 and older.
