I picked up a 3 disc '16 Candles, Breakfast Club and WeIrd Science' a few months ago.

Better OFf Dead is great; what about the John Cusack "Hot Pursuit"?

1.That's a good set.

2.You have to enjoy Keith David as a cheesy Jamaican guy in Hot Pursuit. It's certainly a far cry from They Live or Requiem for a Dream.

Supposedly, f*ing machines.com acquired the old robot prop and outfitted him as a pleasure bot! Is this a crazy world or what?

The Island
Mean Girls
Lost in Transalation
yes, they are really not the same type of films, and I do not why I have enjoyed them.

Am I the only one here who likes the horror films that don't end nicely?

I even thought the new version of Texas Chainsaw was pretty good. I want to see more things like TCM, Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses, Dawn of the Dead, Return of the Living Dead... I hate these horror films like Hostel that have this nice little ending where everything is wrapped up nicely.

In the Mouth of Madness was a great horror film. Carpenter ended it on this evil note and as someone who reads a lot, this is the type of horror you like. Living a book, that's quality.

He also did a great job with The Thing (his best work in my opinion). At the end they are just sitting there, waiting to die, and you don't know who is infected.

I guess you could say that the new Dawn of the Dead sort of has that unhappy ending, but them even leaving on the boat sort of kills the illusion, plus they had too much fun in the mall (still a good film in my opinion).

I guess I want more carnage, destruction, and pure evil straight from hell. All these films seem to try to wrap things up nicely, what about where the girl doesn't get away and the maniacs are still at large in the end... That's reality isn't it?

My daughter just finished watching it. She's a horror fan and she said it kinda sux. She said she likes the extra freatures lots better than the movie. I'm kind of scared to have her watch my movie. She'll go easy on the old man, though. I think I'll watch it tonight. I've got a full day tomorrow so I probably won't get around to a review until tomorrow evening...maybe, though, I'll make some quick notes after I see it.

On a scale from 1 to 10, she gave it a 5.

Sounds about right.

It was a truly dreadful motion picture. I put my review in the Eli Roth's Hostel thread.
