snatching previews off the web

basically i'm looking to take some video footage from some movie previews on the web to edit with in premiere. i do not have quicktime 7 pro so i can't save them on my computer. is there any other way to get them? the files do not need to be quicktime. it's just that quicktime is the most prevelant program used to watch movie trailers.

any ideas?

You won't be able to snatch the 480,720, or 1080 quicktime previews without Quicktime Pro. But if you go to movie websites and the quicktimes are embedded in the website you should be able to snatch the previews with Firefox. In Firefox go to Tools, click Page Info, and then select Media. Look for the embedded quicktime movie file and save it. Might be useless for what you want because the filesize and res is small. Quicktime Pro is only like thirty bucks, well worth it..

thanks isaac, i'll give it a shot.

i wanted to buy it but heard it was an absolutely terrible program on Windows XP, on apple's own page no less (they have customer reviews there. i started reading them -- 3 out of 4 people say it's a buggy bad program) and that scared me off from buying it.

do you have windows? it works fine for you?

Works fine. I haven't found it terribly buggy. You just need decent processing power for watching 1080 trailers.
