The look of infrared film stock

I posted this question in the DVX technical forum hoping it could be achieved in-camera with maybe some filters (but apparently most DV cameras have IR blocking filters inside?)... the only solutions I'm getting are post options for tools such as AE, Photoshop, shake, etc... all great tools, but what I have is Vegas..

I've tried replicating the Photoshop instructions in Vegas( http://www.damienbenoit.com/tutorials/photoshop/PhotoshopIR.jpg ) , but the Vegas 'Color Balancer' or 'Channel Blend' doesn't seem to have the equivalent of Photoshop's 'Channel Mixer' monochrome setting.

Here's the original thread with pics of what I'm after:

Somebody must know how to do this, I've tried (come kinda close) but admittedly I'm not very good at using Vegas color correcting..

Thanks John, greatly appreciated.

Here's a pic I've been playing with (wrestling with), perhaps not the best setup, but the idea of getting the sky and water closer to black, the tree line more white and maintaining the skin tones to not look like a zombie! I'm using the Vegas 'Black & White', 'Color Curves', and 'Brightness & Contrast', but the color curves for me is just a wild goos chase of dragging the colors around hoping I get something!

I'm just wondering how the skin will look on a person, I'll have to find some stills from the movie I saw the other night ('I AM CUBA'), where they used infrared film stock for a very cool effect and the people still looked like non-alien humans.

This looks like it but far from the most dramatic shots that were in the film, there was an overhead helicopter sequence shot on infrared and all the palm trees were white and very detailed, and there's a scene where a guy is cutting sugar cane which is all white like overblown but with detail!

Gonna have to investigate this further; stay tuned!

I am intrigued with this look myself (and also stumbled across a faux technilor 3 stripper playing around)

Ill revisit this evening !

Here is what I came up with ages ago in After Effects. Sorry I can't give you guys the file (unless you have AE).
What dya think?

I had a music video idea I wanted to try out years ago and came up with the look for testing purposes but never filmed it.

TIFFs are not normal MIME types for browsers. ('Cause the "standard" is anything but, mostly. I pretty much gave up trying to use them in one of my programs becuase only about a third of them would display properly.)

Thanks Shawn saved me the effort. BTW that's my ugly fat mug you can see in the picture.
