Don't know how I did it but I must of set something wrong because I thought fcp was capturing stuff to my external drive as a scratch disk but it seems to have sent some stuff to my comnputers harddrive.

Therefore my question is what is the best way to get the stuff off my computers harddrive and onto my g-drive. Should I copy them as in drag and drop the files onto the g-drive icon. Then after that delete them from my computers harddrive. Or is their a quicker way than that.

Thanks.

That's the way I would do it. Double check your settings in FCP to make sure nothing else gets sent there.

If you have just captured them but not edited just proceed as you plan.
If you've added the clisp to a projuect and have started editing:
Read the help menu regarding the media manager. FCP keeps track of the clips so it can become confused when you start moving/deleting files on your own.
At the very least you may want to take them offline, cioy and delete files and then re-mount/re-find them in FCP.
