MacBook Pro Benchmarks: Final Cut Studio 5.1

Just the info I wanted...for about the same price and the same (maybe a little bit better) performance, the MacBook Pro wins for mobility...

The only con I can think of is that its RAM is capped at 2Gb...

As for a pro...will an improved universal binary code raise performance in the future?

This is FCP 5.1 so it is a universal binary.
 
Actually, they don't say what G5 it is.. The new dual core G5's have fast ram and are much faster than the dual 2GHZ made in 2003. Also, they aren't close to the same price. The macbook pro is about 800.00 more....
