I've had this idea for awhile. I really like the idea of the adjustable french flag, as opposed to a fixed one, and I don't need a mattebox yet, because I have some good 72mm filters. But I was reluctant to poke holes in the lens guard. I tried some other ideas, clips and stuff that would be less invasive, but they never worked out as well as I wanted. So I checked the panny website, and found out that if I wanted to, i could replace my lens guard for just over 50 bucks. I may do that eventually and just switch them out to save time. But it really isn't necessary. This goes together pretty quickly.
