Shooting in a gym.

We are shooting a "spelling bee" in a school gym for one of our movies. We will be up on the stage. what is the best way to light the people? I'm having truble with this.
 
I've never tried lighting a gym, but watch for reflection off the floor from windows. Know which way the sun will be coming in--the glare from the finish is a bear. The temperature tends to be very warm too.

Does it have stage lighting?
 
I just did a shoot in a gym and can offer advice as well as screen grabs. There's about a 10% chance I'll enter this stuff into hero fest, so I can't post it publically.
