Top 10 Films of 2001...

Interesting...very interesting...

As it stands thus far:

1st Place.....TIE - Training Day and Lord of the Rings (each film on 8 lists)
2nd Place.....TIE - Black Hawk Down and A Beautiful Mind and Donnie Darko (7)
3rd Place.....TIE - AI Artificial Intelligence and Blow (5)

Also...

I can't help but noticing that Moulin Rouge only appears on 3 lists total (Rich's, Ravine's & myself.) WTF? It is even being excluded from the honorary lists.

I understand that musicals may not be everyone's cup of tea...
But this is a masterpiece on so many levels.

Did yous just pass on it? (cause if so...TRUST ME you wanna give it a chance)
-or-
If yuz did catch it, what about it didn't work in your respective books?

I enjoyed Moulin Rouge very much.

I didn't think Ewan MacGregor had the greatest singing voice but thats okay. I guess the sappy heart on a sleeve idealist character he portrayed just irritated me a bit.

So there were 10 other movies i saw that year which i enjoyed more thats all.

I saw Moulin Rouge. It was visually stunning, to be sure, like any Baz Luhrman film, but beyond that just not my cup of tea. I'd probably rank it around #15 on my list.
