I finally had enough time to play with my new Marshall VR-70PHAD monitor and camera and realized that I didn't have the right cables. Anyone have some info an the best way to hook up the two for shooting in 720-24P?

The component cable that comes with the HVX will work, you just have to use the three RCA->BNC adapters that come with it.

Thanks Barry, I had to dig around a bit to find them, they had gotten lost in the shuffle of my messy studio. Also the colors on the cable that I have don't match up with the colors on the RCA outs, can you give me the best way to match the three to the camera and monitor? I just talked to Barb at AVS and she said Blue goes to PB, Red goes to PR and green goes to Y, but what is the right conectors to hook up to the camera, which have white, red and yellow RCA out?

David,
the red white and yellow are all standard RCA composite cables.
you NEED to use the D4 component cable that splits into the PB, PR & Y
Barb refers to..

Thanks, I just found that out and got them hooked up. Right now all I get on the marshall is a blue screen, even though I see what ever I point the camera at on the HVX LCD. Is there some switch or other device that I need to engage to get the pic on the marshall? I get the same thing with an S video cable. As far as I can tell the book says nothing that helps solve this problem.
OK, I shouldn't try to run things with a bad headache, I just had the plugs in the wrong set of inputs, or in this case outputs. Now it is working fine.

make sure you have the inputs going into the marshall on input side which is the outtermost set of female bnc connectors.

Also hit the YPbPr button on the front of the marshall.
