From your list, these are the only ones that I liked:

Beautiful mind, The Others.

Vanilla sky sucked, the original one directed by the director of "The Others" is amazing, I loved it.

But, only my opinion :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Am I the only one who thinks that this selection makes Hudson and Callaghan lose all credibility?

-Jeremy
I knew that one would receive flack, Jeremy, but it was overall an emotional ride.

I'll repeat something I said before:
If it hadn't been for...

-Affleck's off-again performance
-The "Bomb-Cam"
and most especially
-The fact that major changes were made for the Asian market

...then it quite possibly could have taken the top spot in my book.

( and besides, Ricky Henderson likes it I heard:evil:)

I dont exactly remember what came out in 2001, but from what I remember, these are the ones I liked:

Not in order:

Training Day
The Others
Donnie Darko
A Beautiful Mind
Blow
Frailty

The Bomb cam I loved.

Pearl Harbor is an underrated popcorn extravaganza. It is covered in Sugar, sure but you guy's forget this was a Disney Production; so you gotta bend a little on it.

Is it my Pearl Harbor ? No no no. I'd be all Band of Brother's style if it was me, but you cannot deny the $500,000,000 Worldwide Box Office.

Crap

I did not realize DD and Blow came out in 2001

(revising List now)

Michael Bay is my problem with Pearl Harbor.

Only movie of his I've enjoyed is the Rock.

I fear what he has in store for the Transformers movie.

And what his production company is going to do to the Friday series.

And as an aside Affleck wasn't totally terrible in PH. At least I didn't think so. Then again i really like Reindeer Games so I'm prob not the best person to ask.

i dont really think it was a great year for movies but here are some that did it for me.

Amores perros
Memento .. i think this one may have been 2000.
In the mood for love
Sexy beast
Training Day
101 Reykjavík
Fat girl
Blow
Apocalypse now redux

Wait, Calla ?

Are you saying Afleck had an Off performance in PH ? (I disagree)
It coulda been a bit better...
In fact, his losing of the attempted accent coulda made all the difference.

Apocalypse now redux

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan that don't count.

And what his production company is going to do to the Friday series.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake friggin rocked mang. One of my favorite films (Horror). I think Bay will give us a FT13TH like we have never had it.

I can't agree John. I mean I'll try to remain optimistic about Friday but i hated the Chainsaw remake. Too polished and full of WB teen stars.

Give me the original. Its practically a documentary. That's hard.
