The Films of John Carpenter

i dont know much but danm the thing is amazing, and danm the fog (new and old) totally such. I hated prince of darkness and i freaking loved cigarette burns.

I thought what I had in mind was Candyman.

Hellraiser sucks anyway.

All Barker did was come up with the story for Candyman.

It was written and directed by two other fellas.

Also i disagree about Hellraiser. Taken by itself its a wicked story and solid horror flick.

But if you think about it, without barker Candyman wouldn't exist.

Hellraiser was just boring, and just too plain.

And in more capable hands Candyman might have been a half-way decent movie what's your point?

Candyman was a joke.

But again, thats just my opinion, aren't you the same guy who prefered LOTR over The Sixth Sense? I could of fired back at that, but its only your opinion

No. I think you have me mistaken for someone else.

And Candyman was horrible. But i place the majority of that blame on the guy's who made the movie.

What if you directed it? :)

Assault on Precinct 13 is #3 for me after Halloween and The Thing.
I've actually got no problem with that. For me, these are his movies. After Halloween, the next 8 could be arranged in many ways and I couldn't complain. This was just my quick take on his movies. After these nine...I don't care for much of anything.

Saw The Thing with my old man late one night. I was in kindergarten and it was supposed to this rite of passage thing, watching my first 'scary' movie with pops when I should have been in bed. Holy crap, I should have just gone to bed.

When the 'spider legs' pop out of the dude's head and he lashes out his tongue? Yaaaa!

They Live was great. Piper made that movie for me. The height of WWF. "I came here to do two things: Chew bubblegum and kick a**. I'm all out of bubblegum."

I'm curious to see what Frank Darabont does with the sequel/mini with Sci-Fi Channel for The Thing. It's been in development land forever...always thought a sequel would be awesome.

I have a killer idea The Thing 2

I want a rescue team to show up to rescue the original expedition team and find the burned remains of the outpost and people (Yes, even Russell). They transport the bodies out of their by airlift and to a boat for transport back to the states

On the ship is where The THing thaws out once again. Somehoe I want to create a ticking clock as it makes it's way to NYC Harbor.

That's about it

I should write it. (But man I hate writing :/ )

And reading...

In all seriousness, I think thats a great idea for a sequal, and rather than Carpenter, do you know who I think should direct it?
