I personally wouldn't want to be in his position. Mainly because anything he says is there for everyone to hear and to disect. All of us in this thread are voicing our opinions about the way we feel and have the right to do so, but let's all imagine that this thread was now published in a magazine for everyone see ( of course everyone can technically see it now but you understand my point ) and read.
Everyone in this thread if we say someone stupid we have a chance to try and come back and clear things up but it's not always that easy when you're in the lime light.
Of course I also totally agree with the whole with great power comes great responsibility approach meaning if i'm in the lime light where everybody can see and hear maybe I should use some discretion in what I say and do but hey let's me honest sometime we as people just talk out our ass. Who are we really to judge someone in that position. let's all think back on our lives and the things we have done and said and wonder what if our wives, friends, family and co-workers judged us by just that thing we said or did how would our lives be now.
Whether I agree with what kayne said on tv about bush or not I have to give him some respect because he felt strongly about something and had the courage to say it on national tv even though people might/didn't like it. Would you have the courage to stand up in a boardroom of your peers and boss to tell everyone how you felt ? I don't know if I would have. I don't think John Hudson is a hater. I just think he doesn't like what he did or his attitude which is his opinion and he is definitely entitled to it.
I would also like to add a story.
- When I first moved to maryland from SC I had no job and used to work at Chic-fil-a before I moved here. Now I was only 16 at that time and there wasn't that many places that I could work. So after being here for 4 days I took the subway out to the mall and filled out an app at chic-fil-a. They called me back for an interview and I went to the interview. During the interview the manager asked me why should I hire you and I told him because I was the best at my store. Now he could have thought that was cocky and said I don't want this prick but he hired me and true enough I showed him what I was made of. So the moral of the story is sometimes being cocky/confident can go a long way but you have to back it up with skill
