Good CD to buy?

It's 2:30 AM ... my kids are sick ... and I'm bored, so here are my suggestions. :)

U2 - Achtung Baby. Greatest album by anyone at anytime, ever. And I don't want to hear any argument from the floor on that one. :kali:

Patty Griffin - 1000 Kisses. Possibly the saddest album ever recorded, with Patty Griffin's Impossible Dream being a close second.

Peter Gabriel - Us. Gabriel's best album in my opinion.

Rob Dougan - Furious Angels. I'm just trying for variety here. Dougan did some of the music for the Matrix films and once you get used to his extremely rough voice, he's actually quite talented.

Just a couple of suggestions. :)

Bet he loves trash-metal. Any CD by Slayer will be a nice bang for the buck :)

Or just get the Thin Red Line soundtrack, gotta love it!

Get the American recordings of Johnny Cash, excellent CD! Also, I would look into Avenged Sevenfold, Against Me's new CD, Audioslave "Out of Exile", and anything by Rage Against the Machine...always good.

Appetite for Destruction by Guns N Roses
Pretty Hate Machine by Nine Inch Nails
Harvest by Neil Young
Four Way Street by Crosby Stills Nash & Young
Soundtrack to Dances w/ Wolves
Me First & The Gimme Gimmes 'Ruin Jonny's Bar Mitzvah'
Depeche Mode Greatest Hits
Marilyn Manson Portrait of an American Family

I could go on all day

pop music's hottest songwriter with two of the most experienced players in the game as his rhythm section. there's something about hearing only 3 guys come together and create such big music with nothing but a guitar, a bass, and a drumset. buy this record!

Briceman. Stop posting, I'm not getting anything done! :) jk

Mason Jennings. Folk with a little umph. A true artist.
Iron and Wine (cinematographer turned singer/songwriter). Mellow stuff.
Beautiful Girls. Good band out of australia
The Meters. Get your groove on
Taj Mahal. Blues

You said country. You had better make sure you have some Waylon.

the Artic monkeys is pretty cool, if by chance (which I doubt) you don't have radiohead's OK Computer it's a must have. Jack Johnson's in between dreams is really cool as well.
