Ok I am new to this and I am obviously doing something wrong.

I end up with three files with the following extensions;

.m2v , .m2v.mcses and a .wav file

I write them to a DVD-R aparetly successfully but none of my dvd players do anything when presented with the disc.

Have I missed something ??

You need to import those files in a DVD authoring program such as DVD Studio Pro and build a DVD project. Afterwards, you will then get an AUDIO_TS and a VIDEO_TS folder that you will burn on a DVD-R.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Kandinsky

I thought authoring software was just for making a fancy front end with links to chapters ect.. I just want the film to autoplay.

I guess when I upgrade to Premiere Pro 2 (which includes basic dvd authoring) I will have it covered.

In the OEM version I have, Export to DVD is replaced by Export To VAIO and the "Vaio Zone" should sort out the DVD authuring.

At first I wondered why SONY would bundle Adobe Premiere Standard Edition with their computers when they have their own product in both lite and pro flavours.

I think the answer is that they want to drive poeple nuts with Premiere to send them off looking for Vegas.

It worked for me, I downloaded a trail Version of Vegas last night to see why such a large proportion of this forum use it.
