Won a tourney that paid paid for my entry fee of $10,000... WooHoo! The WSOP started today and whudduyah know, I get bumped out an hr into it.... lol Now that sucks! I flopped two pair and another guy flops a set to kill me. Oh well, that's poker. At least I got to meet Johnny Chan and "Jesus". I also played with three other pros but I can't remember their names.

That's awesome!! Congrats on getting in! Who'd you play with? Anyone big? I know there are a lot of tables, but there's always that chance.

GREAT!! Now you can look at those freakin videos I spent HOURS doing for you!!!

hehehe... just kidding. 10 minutes max!!

I've got a poker crew in the band that would have killed to be you!

Welcome home.

Awesome! That's really cool Jay. I tired gambling a few times. Funny how losing cures you of that desire.

Congrats, Coffee.

It's probably no big surprise that I am a bit of a poker grinder myself. Cheers

on your being called up to the majors. Chan and Jesus are both big fish, and what an honor that you got to play in their pond.

Jay,

That's awesome! I've been playing poker in Vegas for almost 20 years. I play stud though. Never played in a big tournament. That must of been a rush.

Very Kool. Ferguson is one of my favorite players.

(and it helps when you get knocked out that early that you did not have to cough up the entry fee)

Yeah it was a great feeling being there. I actually had a great time even though it was short lived. The guy who flopped his set on me was some pro that I've seen in the WSOP on tv before but I just can't remember his name. He was a quiet guy though, everyone knew him and he was taking notes like crazy. He was talking about some new Hawian moves that Johnny Chan was teaching him earlier in the morning on the beach so I'm assuming that he's in the "inner circle".

Capt, today's the day. : )

The sad thing is, the guys with the addictions, keep thinking that they're almost on the upswing of that luck. They just go deeper and deeper.

Honestly all addiction is just really really sad :(

On a lighter note, I've been in a few tournaments. Never placed in the money but been a few spots out before. (out of a few hundred players)

The idea is to be good enough to where it's not considered Gambling. If you don't know what you're doing, then it's always gambling. The only thing that offsets this idea is the amount of people who have got into it in the last couple of years. Kinda turned it into a lottery at the wsop.

i hate playing at the local casino down here. holdem 1/2 but you have so many fools at the table its impossible. every river gets seen
