I have an AMD 4000 64 bit CPU with 2 GB's of RAM a 36 GB RAPTOR for Software and a 250 GB SATA2 HD for footage. I have a BFG 6600GT Video card.
I was wondering what kind of performance I will get editing HD footage, even with multicam.
Also "skettalee" which is with me, asks the same about his Intel Pentium 4 3.2ghz with 2 GB RAM as well as a few internal 7200 rpm IDE100 HD's and a 9800 Pro ATI Video card.
We want to know if we can even capture and edit HD (skettalee is getting a Sony HDV HC-1 today), and if so, what kind of performance issues will we run into?
Thank you for your help with this.
PS: If these systems aren't enough, what kind of upgrades would you recommend?
