B6 or Sony 77b for snip job ???

Ok, Last question...

Well, that's a lie, but I'm trying to do this right and at the best price.

Nick at Gotham said he can Mod hardwire B6 or 77b for both my Senn G2 kits and hardwire use !!

So the questions is, I own 2 77b's now and could snip them and be happy if they are as good as the B6's. If not I'll sell'em , get B6's snip 'em and be happy, but have less $$ in the cookie jar. Sound is the most important here, not the size.

So ........ ?

Steve

PS thanks to all that help, I'll be gone in 2 month so I'll stop asking noob questions in 40 days or so.

the sanken sounds better for me and sorry i didnt intend to say the b-6 sound bad , but mainly i use it in situation i have deep problems place sanken or dpa's inside the clothes ,so i have to take the head outside
but thats for me - people have different taste and vax in their ears so it might be different for others

I know people do weddings, and some even do funerals. But when I read the subject of this thread:

"B6 or Sony 77b for snip job ??? "

my first thought was, "Someone's recording a circumcision???"

Hey Oleg,

It's just the wax in my ears is positioned differently than the wax in your ears. ;-)

Which DPA model do you recommend? They all look pretty big (at least compared to the B6) for under clothes work...

Thanks!

car wash ( doctor ) might help :-)

4060 works for me

i did a bunch of research and i just ordered a sanken cos-11s from micah at gotham sound.

previously i had the at-899 which isn't a bad lav for the price.

i'm going to use the cos-11 on a few shoots and then if all goes well i'm going to buy a second one.

i really want to have two identical lav's for situations where i can't use boom and i need to get the exact same sound without having to play with the sound too much in software.

MrBirdBoy,

did you figure out which mic you're going to use for the bris? ;-)

Matthew, let us know what you think. I'm leaning towards picking up a couple of COS-11's to go with my B6's.
