HALO the movie - Good idea?

A Solid-Liquid fist fight on top of a ruined Metal Gear.

It'd be an Action Cinema wet dream.
 
I refuse to play that game. No Pacino? Come on.

Although i agree your premise of a film to game to film adaptation would be quite humorous.
 
Three of my coworkers at lunch today debated which was worse, Super Mario Brothers (the movie) or Street Fighter the movie.

Super Mario Bros. had Bob Hoskins, Dennis Hopper, and John Leguizamo (SP?)...

Street Fighter had Jeanne Claude Van Damme and Raul Julia (fresh off the Addams family).

Yeah... tough call between which one sucks harder. Wait, that's not what this thread is about.

Halo the movie? Yeah, stupid, but I'll most likely rent it or catch it on HBO thee weeks after it hits theatres.

"Halo" could go either way. But has a higher chance of being horrible. The trailer for "Silent Hill" does look really cool and scary...kind of like the game. That game use to freak me out when I was playing it.

I gotta go with Street Fighter, only because it was Raul Julia's last movie...and it sucks to go out on something like that...he was such a great actor (watch Moon Over Parador to see a truly insane performance)...
 
What about the Splinter Cell movie? They better use Ironside...

And HELL YES to a MGS movie... that would either demolish the box office... or go up in flames...
 
I don't know how reputable this is, but IMDB has Guillerimo Del Toro as the main person in talks for directing Chair with Halo. And people are saying the script is good.

So i'm hoping it doesn't totally suck.

MGS would be so killer. That's one of those games I actually really got into to the point of beating it multiple times. It would definately work as a movie.

one of my favorite games of all time..OH CRAP!! i gatta pick up that new one that jus came out! i remember i put a reserve on it...yikes!

But I think that would be a great movie...but finding someone who can play the role as Snake with the voice and all...would be tuff..

but that game..well the second one MGS2..has some references from Escape from NY & LA....Pliskin anyone...?

Man, Snake Eater is one of my most favorite games. Everything about it rocks.

Yeah, David Hayter has an AWESOME voice.

Yeah, Kojima took some of his ideas from the Escape from... movies. When Snake's nickname is Iroquoi Pliskin in MGS2.... God, I'm such a nerd. This is the only game I ever (or ever want to) play. COME ON PS3!
