It's the cavision, 16:9 two stage mattebox, and cavision rods. The whole setup, not including the letus and teh dvx is about $500. Cavision makes some nice stuff, and they aren't very expensive. Nice filters as well. I also bought a little lens support for the Letus, it makes everything rock solid. You can see it with the strap over the letus in the top photo.
Actually, without filters, the mattebox is relatively light. The rods are carbon fiber, and pretty much the whole matte box is made from a PVC type material. It is very sturdy, yet very light. If I have two filters in the two stages, it then becomes more front heavy, not bad for tripod work, but hand held the camera becomes a little mroe uncomfrotabele. As it is, hand holding is actually quite possible, even with one filter. I usually lock the camera into my hip or stomach, right hand on the top handle, left hand on the focus, or I use my Dv-rig pro, and it does pretty well with that.
Coffee, I know what you mean, my wife is getting jeleous
Wow, just checked the footage too...It's all good baby...Isnt it a bit sad how we all get exciting about pictures of cameras with long lenses?
Check out the flaps on the Matte Box!! I'm getting worried about myself and you guys....

You now what it is, ive never needed one, an i have no clue how its used to control the lighjt, i understand vaguely that you keep lensflares down with it, but thats about it.
i think its just experience of using one. or maybe if you start lighting properly, you need one more.
