Any DVXuser fathers to be?

T minus 6 weeks or so until my wife gives birth to twins....I'm getting kind of nervous...!
First foray into the world of fatherhood.

Any advice out there? :)

Is it true that I will never again get a full night's sleep?

Anybody on the boards with twins?

Is it wrong to secretly hope that my wife has a c-section so that I can film it and use it for hero-fest.....? :)

(That was a joke)

I'm nervous but excited. Just thought I'd reach out for some male support. :)

I'm not a father so I can't give you much in the way of advice. Regarding the sleep thing...why wouldn't you get any sleep, your wife can get up with the kids at night, right?

I kid, I kid!!!!

This would've been great for an Aliens re-creation....some "creature" bursting through the belly of a living human!!! :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Sorry, I can't be much more help...but congratulations and good luck on a successful delivery!

Peace,
Larry

P.S. I see your location is listed as "Wine Country"...that wouldn't happen to be the Napa/Sonoma area, would it?

Hey, when you guys post back to back like that, I can just say:

Thanks, Terri(y)!

Thanks guys. :)

I know, I had a huge laugh when I hit "submit reply" and saw that he had posted right above me....the one time I added "The Female One" to mine.

Thanks Larry! (Great 1K vid, btw! You have a great voice.)

And yes, we're in Napa. I had to mapquest Winters but I see you are near Sacramento. We're almost neighbors. :)

I know...terrible twos times two....That's like quad power toddler evilness!

Ah, I just noticed the bold type. :) At least you aren't both named Pat. It may just be an i' and a 'y', but that's SOMETHING to safeguard your individuality.

Wow man twins!

thats twice a many graduations, twice as many first steps, first laughs, hugs and A+ report cards for you to be proud of!

My dad is a twin, my older brother had twins, his wife's sister had twins, and my daughter's dad was a twin.

you KNOW I was like "whew!" when I delivered one tiny girl.

Not bad at all; but sleep now, party now, do whatever you can now

Unless you have magic Grandparent options it will be a shock to the world.

My sister has twin girls. When they learn they can use it for pranks, they'll be dangerous.

Ah. Forgot to mention. These are not indentical twins. Boy and a girl in fact. If either one of them ever tries to pass his or her self off as the other, then it's off to psychological counselling :)

Heading out to the second ultrasound right now. I don't know about you all but I'm thinking 10 fingers, 10 toes sounds pretty good right now. 5 digits per limb, preferably.

Maybe I'll have a picture to post when I get back.

Congrads! :)

your understanding of love will take on a whole new dimension.

get ready to get up early 7 days a week.

sleep in now while you can.

and remember these final days before they arrive.. because your life will change.

like JH said, "everything changes"

you will find it doesn't matter if you don't sleep at night... those middle of the night moments become priceless.

all the best!

Congratulations on the twins!!! That seems exciting. I don't have any kids, but my girlfriend is supposed to have twins when she has kids because her grandmother is a twin and I guess it skips a generation.

Oh well, I digress, congrats and enjoy, I can't imagine how awesome it must feel!

Enjoy one now...
