Dell 2405 at Sam's Club - $799

Dell is currently running a sale. When the sale ends the regular price is $999. This is an everyday price for members.

What will be interesting to see is when the replacement for the 2405 (2407?) is out, what the Sam's Club pricing will be vs. direct from Dell.

I heard the 2407 was supposed to be out in February but there was some kind of delay. Anyone hear of the specs on the 2407? I guess I'm hoping that it will have more user / adjustment controls when using it to view footage from an HVX. Also, any word on price? Is the 2407 gonna be jacked up a few hundred dollars?

The specs on the Dell 2005 show contrast at 600:1 ; whereas on the 2007, contrast is rated at 800:1. Perhaps there'll be an increase on the 2407, up from the 2405's 1000:1 contrast ratio as well.

Have you been able to find the 2405 response time (ms)?

I have read some complaints in terms of their image (blurring) for fast moving scenes. Some people prefer to buy LCD monitors with faster 6 to 8ms response time.

Which means it has a longer response time, doesn't it?

(I'm not trying to be a smart a$$.)
