Hi,

I'm planing on purchasing a Letus35 Flip, however also a mattebox with french flag and sideflags.

So, where can I get a mattebox that will fit a DVX with a Leutus35 Flip? If any.

- Thanks!

I guess any clamp-on mattebox and the right step-up ring will do it, but you'll definately need rods if you don't wan't to rip your DVX' lens rings.

Another, albeit more expensive option to the indi Snap!, is one of the Cavision 16:9 matteboxes.

The stock opening on this unit is 130mm, with inexpensive adapters for most standard lens diameters. What are the specifications on the lenses you're using?

For DOF converter situations, you first need to support your adapter and lens train to keep the weight off the stock lens threads. A camera bracket, iris rods and a t-riser / lens retainer are a start. Adding a mattebox is a simple upgrade once you have this system in place.

For DOF use, others here are finding success using Petroff and Chrosziel.

Dakotapod,
Is the angle on the french flag adjustable? It looks like it is locked into place.

No, sorry. The flags are fixed. Two positions, on and off. Just wasn't doable for this pricing. If adjustable flags are paramount to you, the $825 unit overland has would be the way to go.

I just realized that that package includes the RS15HD dual handgrips as well for the $825 package price. I'll update that page this afternoon.
