Isaac Hayes quits South Park

Too bad for the show. I only get about 6 cable channels in my lame package, though, and comedy central isn't one of them. Damn, I miss it.

you think we'll see an episode or two about Scientology over this one? Bet the Chef character is gonna have an interesting exit storyline.

ridiculous...

South Park is the best show on tv next to the Daily Show/Colbert Report...it offers the most valid social commentary of the day...

religion, on the other hand has been leading people to kill each other for the last 2000+ years...scientology - is just ridiculous...

hows that for uncontroversial??:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

When the Scientology episode aired, my girlfriend turned to me and said, "I wonder what Isaac Hayes thinks of this episode."

I guess we just found out.

The ineterview I read with either Stone or Parker clained that he quit over the scientology thing. They said his cry of intolerance is a bunch of crap since he never minded the episodes that razzed jews and christians. And really, there have been a LOT of those.

Is that why Jarred moved to LA?

Holy crap! When the hell did Jarred move!? I didn't know that we were neighbors! I'm going to go egg his house just for shits and giggles!

That is so damn dumb. He is ok when they make fun of everything else but when it comes to him its not cool. Well I think we are going to see an epasiode where chef getts ubducted by scientologest..

I don't know, seems like a reasonable response, well relatively anyway. I mean Scientologists have a reputation for sueing and infringing on the free speech rights of anyone who criticizes them. But it could be worse, at least they don't, oh I don't know. . . just to pick a random example that has nothing to do with the real world, start riots and burn down embassies and threaten death just because someone looked their icons funny.

I think the "no religion discussion" rule was just officially broken. I'm guessing this thread will be closed shortly.
