Snow day in Minnesota

I was on my way down to a shoot in Red Wing. Normally under an hour, I was giving myself 2 1/2. 20 minutes in, or 1.3 miles later, I was called back. But being a lad from the Canadain Prairies I am really under the impression everyone here is just a bit soft.

That's actually really true. We've been spoiled by the last several (nearly snowless) years.

It seems to be getting back to normal in SoCal, after our "winter blizzard" :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Yeah... crazy blizzard. We had snow for about 3 days here where I live. Hate drivin' on those roads... sliding everywhere. Especially when people think they can drive normal speed on snow and ice... LOL!

Ha.
I'm from the Iron Range originally, and freelanced in the Mpls market for years.

Man- I DO NOT miss winter. We had weather in the 80's yesterday here in the Atlanta area.

Funny thing though- 3 inches of snow here and everyone freaks out. They run to the stores like its the end of the world and buy up all the bread and milk. We got 28 inches in a day back home one time.

Yeah, what the hell kind of weather was that ? I had to get my EMU's out in the house.

John

It may seem odd for most folks, but up here snow is something you used to be able to count on. Before today I had no snow in my yard, today a foot. But that is beside the point. The last four years there really has not been a consistent snow base. Which might happen once a generation. But four years in a row is a bit odd. Almost scary. I hate the shite, but it still is a bit freaky.

I heard Eden Prairie (hometown) got like eight inches or something. I came back up to St. Cloud after spring break and woke up to maybe an inch of new powder.

It's about time this crappy town did something for me. I hate walking to class in the snow.
