35mm short film

Greetings All,

My name is Chris and I have been on this site for a while as a browser, just never found the need to post. Well, I just completed a short film, and I thought that this would be a good venue for basic reviews. The film was shot on 35mm and the online version does not do the quality justice. Once I free up some upload space I will put up the higher quality version. There are some naughty words so if your not into that, look out. Thanks in advance.

Chris

Yep Yep. I think that we recorded over 135 sounds for that one. Whew, seems like ages ago. Were you in his suicide movie?

No, that wasn't me.

But did steal the baby footage for a different project.

I'm at SDSU too, prefilm...got the portfolio due in april...any suggestions on how to get accepted?

Thank you for the compliments.

As for the program... make your portfolio interesting. Seperate it visually from everone elses. Other than that, help out on some SDSU shorts.... like mine for instance: March 30-April 3 contact me via e-mail--- dukesdayfilm@gmail.com

hope to hear from ya...

it was alright. a little short. ( I know ) but it could have had more depth to the story other than that one scene.

Well, there is not much more there. Also one of the ideas of the film was to keep it quick. Short and sweet, leave the people wanting more instead of dragging it out for 10-12 minutes. Also the length used is to help our festival chances (shorter is usually better).
If you could, some more specific critism... I don't see how the length hurts it...

I liked it...would really love to see the higher resolution version.

I think it was well executed. It would be cool to see it developed a little further in a longer format, but for what it is, it's perfect.

I guess I mean that I would have liked to see why he was experiencing what he was. I mean ( Spoiler ) he just wakes up one day and takes the word of the tv and the image of the wife on the phone as he should off the misses. I'm not trying to play down your short cause it was filmed very well and I like the concept. but it didn't shock me, For the most part I was thinking he's got a pretty hot wife for a middle aged bald dude. why would he shoot her regardless.

cool, thanks for the more forcused critism. he does also see her with her lover next to him on the couch.

yea... the hot wife thing... We had an actress who better suited the part, but she dropped out at the last minute... put us in quite a pickle, but we made do with the girl you see. She really saved our butts, it was just sad that she looked so young. Thanks again for all the comments.

I have shot a couple of shorts and Curently working on a featur for the fall. It is on its second draft at the wirters and we are startting budgetting
