The Hills have eyes

I can't see this topping the original. Michael Berryman kicks ass!

its gettting awesome buzz about it tho....apparently is much better than the original...i'll be there on friday

does this look scary to you guys?
it seems like a Texas Chainsaw ripoff to me...

Appearances can be deceiving.

I've stated my hopes for this one before and have been looking forward to it because of the director Alexandre Aja. I love High Tension and i love the gritty no holds barred feel of the trailer for this one.

Also the fact that Wes Craven saw it and said it was too much for him.....well that's saying something coming from the guy who made Last House on the Left.

Agreed, Machinist.

This is gonna kick some serious ass.

I watch the original now and it just seems like a cheezy tv movie. Just like all of wes cravens films. None of them hold up.
Except for last house.

I watched the original the other day. Wasn't what I was hoping for although I am a fan of wes craven. I'll definetly be seeing the new version. High tension was an amazing film for a first time director with a low budget.

Haha...I was just thinking how sweet it would be if this were one of those "literal titles" like Snakes on a Plane...

Oh my...I need a job.

Somewhat Spoiler----

Check out a clip from it. I have to say i like it. It's definately much more well done in direction and camera movement than any other horror movie I've seen as of late (I think The Fog remake was the last one... Jesus Christ.)

I hear it go edited to **** though. Not to ****, but I mean, they took some cool stuff out.

by the by, did you know that the guy in the clip with the beard was Pyro from X Men 2? Crazy.

I dont wanna watch that clip lol..I want it all to be a surprise..yeah, I've seen the original, pretty short, but it seemed cool to me, the ending just sucked I hope this ones got a better ending.

My only reassurance at this point is that it can't possibly be as bad or as pointless as the When A Stranger Calls remake. Funny side note, I was reading Script magazine and they had an article by the hack... I mean screenwriter that wrote WaSC and the remake of The Hitcher. It was pretty freaking funny. He was actually serious when he talked about how he created suspense and tension and all the thoughts that went into stretching 14 minutes of the best moment from the original to 88 minutes in the remake. I just had to ask, who did he blow ? :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

WHAAAAT?!?! Why the hell do you remake that?

I met C. Thomas Howell at a horror convention in January and asked him about that. He started laughing and said something to the effect that whatever they do "they can't top Rutger's performance. He wasn't acting. LOL. He creeped me out."

I was surprised they were attempting this one as well... even more so than When A Stranger Calls.
