can you or have you let go of your DVX and get/got an HVX without ever looking back?
is a DVX replaceable with an HVX??

Ever? No, not ever, but 95% yes.
The DVX does three things better than the HVX: 60i, and it's lighter/smaller, and it's substantially cheaper. Other than that, I reach for the HVX every single time.
I would go for the DVX if I needed ultimate low-light sensitivity or if I had to hand-hold the camera through an 8-hour event shoot.
