I think the AF100 is GREAT - here's why

Just finished up a series of videos for a client. All of these stories are pretty different - location, topic and visually. But I think the AF100 shines in these examples. I saw all of these videos projected at the client's event on a really large series of screens (akin to megaplex size) with high end projectors. Not to be too shameless, but I think the footage looked fantastic. It's really made me rethink how much longer I can hold on to the AF100. I only now truly feel like I know the camera well. Enjoy.

Can you post links, iPad can't see the vids.

Great to hear of your enjoyment in seeing your work on a large screen!

The AF100 is great. People who complain about there not being a large-sensor DVX are missing what a terrific camera this is, and used on eBay is a steal right now. When you know how to operate it, it will do very well for you, and is my number one recommendation for people looking for an interchangeable lens-mount camera on a budget.

I agree, you did a great job on these, such positive messages too! Really great docu style work!

Beautiful... wonderful colo, great frames. . I'm doing great with my AF100. Thanks for sharing these fabulous stories with us.

Yep. Bang for the buck you can NOT beat the AF100. It just has all the features a good video camera should have. I just sold mine and I know in a week I'll miss it. But the buyer is gonna love it. My AF100 paid itself off 10x what I paid for it, and that is what a good camera does. Make money.

Very nice work.

Thank you. These are technically really good clips and the content is presented beautifully. The af100 is a wonderful tool.

Those clips look fantastic. Just shows that in the right hands (and even in my hands) jesse bts.jpgit's a great tool. I just posted moments ago in user films that our feature Flowers for Fannie was nominated for 3 categories in an Indy film festival and had 7 interested distributors and 4 formal proposals. Shot with the AF100 with a crew of 2 or 3 for chump change. I think that proves once and for all that distribs could care less what you shot your film on as long as it looks and sounds good to them. I sold the camera only because it was rapidly depreciating. When I shoot another feature next year, I can see myself buying another one used if nothing incredible comes out in the meantime , since I still have the lenses and external LCD.
